BPA Community Work
The uniformed and civilian members of Barrie Police Association (BPA) are proud supporters of many charitable causes. Each year, our members give their personal time to support many causes and volunteer throughout Barrie and the surrounding area to help give back to the community we serve.
In the last 10 years, the Barrie Police Association has contributed over $60,000 to various charities and towards members’ participation in charitable work. The association also holds annual campaigns and events to support our charities.
Taking Care of Kids
Since 1989, the Barrie Police Association has been a proud supporter of the Paediatric Department at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre supporting both physical and mental health for children.
Running for a Cause
For years, the members of the Barrie Police Association have laced up and run in support of the Special Olympics. We are proud to be involved with the community raise funds for this great cause.
Helping Children
The B.P.A. supported children with Epidermolysis bullosa, this rare genetic disorder which causes extremely fragile skin.
Honouring the Fallen, Helping the Living
The Barrie Police Association is a proud supporter of Wounded Warriors Canada and have helped raise over $10,000 dollars to support first responders and service personnel.
Paddling for a Cause
Dragon Boat Barrie is proud to sponsor a number of charities in our community through various fundraising efforts, including through the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival.
